We have extensive experience of planning and implementing relocation projects. Our project portfolio includes both blue chip and SME private sector employers – and employers in the public sector too.
As might be expected the key to success is to plan any relocation project as carefully as possible AND to be aware of the range of pitfalls that might not have been anticipated. The former needs to have the right people organising and running it but the latter is more difficult if you've not done it before.
Outsourcing and Implanting
We can supply highly experienced relocation project managers (subject of course to reasonable notice) in order to either assist your team with the planning and implementation of your project or to act as an adviser. In the latter case we suggest a 'relohub' management team should be created made up of representatives of the key disciplines that will need to have input to the project.
We also have a wide range of experienced relocation service specialists available who can provide input and expertise in order to supply key services such as move management, design and fit out, partitioning and trunking, IT services etc.
Staff Relocation Policies
Designing an effective relocation policy for your needs and those of your staff will be a major contributory factor in the success or failure of your project. If staff believe their needs have been thought about and accommodated many more are likely to buy into the need to move. And this means the continuity and future welfare of your organisation is safely underpinned.
When designing and writing a policy we take into account the three interactive cornerstones of any successful policy – relocation, redundancy and recruitment. The numbers of those who will move and the numbers of those being made redundant will directly affect the numbers you need to recruit and therefore the overall costs of moving. To avoid any unnecessary disruption to your business your policy should really take on board all the issues you must consider. So why not give us a call for an informal discussion?
Counselling and Moving Staff
Our original core expertise in assisting employees to relocate was gained through designing in-depth collaboration programmes with a number of companies such as Volkswagen Audi and BP. As forerunners to the more sophisticated modern attrition analysis techniques these original programmes tailored flexible staff relocation packages to the specific needs and concerns of key staff and their families and typically increased the numbers prepared to relocate by over 50%.
Today we remain actively involved in the bespoke pre-planning of corporate and public sector relocation projects and offer a broad spectrum of integrated packages to address the crucial budgetary and HR relocation issues of relocation, redundancy and recruitment.
Maximising Benefits and Minimising Costs
In other words nirvana! It's something we all strive for and would like to achieve. Given our accumulated first hand experience of so many varied projects over the years in our case the odds are we're more likely to get you closer to relocation nirvana that most.
But our ability to be able to help you is obviously much greater if we are involved in the project planning early on. Once decisions are made and/or documents circulated, positions can become established and difficult to change. So if you want an informal discussion with us, without obligation or cost, on how we might add value to your project please get in touch.
The Service Supply Chain
Relocation is a major catalyst for change. It requires very careful planning ahead as to the "what's, how's, who's and when's" of everything your project needs, or might need, to cover. Your own in-house expertise and experience will take you so far – if you're lucky all the way – but the likelihood is that issues will crop up that you haven't had to deal with before.
This is why we offer a 'watching brief' service to help you look ahead, through your project, and often identify an issue or two you hadn't thought about which might cause problems or delays.
The Relocation Associates Option
We strongly believe that customer service is the bedrock of any worthwhile service supplier. We refer to this group as Business Moves Associates.
So to offer our clients as broad a base of ancillary relocation services as possible we only work with, and where required recommend, well established and reliable organisations which between them cover relocation services we don't offer ourselves. This group is called Business Moves Associates. |
