The need to establish a workplace travel plan ('WTP') at a new site or building is now quite a common planning requirement imposed by the local authority. Essentially the aim of WTP's is to reduce local and regional traffic congestion and improve accessibility and contribute to more sustainable mobility.
Should you be required to establish a WTP we can certainly help as, arguably, we set up the very first plan in the UK back in 1990 – and have established very many more since (see our case studies to see one or two of them).
And of course if you want to investigate the many advantages of setting up a WTP – such as reducing staff turnover levels, improving accessibility and staff morale, reducing congestion, emissions and pollution – we will be delighted to hear from you.
We are active in this field overseas too having been involved in two EU funded mobility management projects (Optimum1 and Optimum2) in collaboration with a number of UK and EU based County Councils and regional and local authorities. In Optimum2 for example we worked as consultants to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital NHS Trust - for more information visit www.optimum2.org.
We also work very closely with our Dutch colleagues at Soeters Mobiliteits Advies on a number of UK and EU assignments – including one for the City of Goteborg in Sweden. |
